    Arrival by coach at mount Etna the highest active volcano in Europe, at a height of 1900 meters. Possibility to climb up at 2750 meters by cable car and 4x4 (optional organized excursion to pay on the spot). Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, trip to Taormina, leisure time to visit the fascinating Greek-Roman theatre, and to walk through the tiny streets of this small town, beautifully located overlooking the sea and the peak of Mount Etna. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Siracusa

    Departure around 8h15 for Syracuse, the oldest of the island’s cities ; it was the most powerful city in ancient Greece, rival of Athens. Visit of the Archaeological Park. Free Lunch. Possibility to walk freely in the centre of Ortigia; Discovering the island of Ortigia means coming into contact with different cultures, but above all knowing Sicily in its most intimate aspects. Palaces, courtyards, churches and convents give way to temples, castles and fountains, composing a cleverly stitched mosaic in white stone, whose precious tiles shine in the sun.
  • Agrigento

    Departure to Caltagirone, located in the middle of Sicily, famous for its ceramics. Its monumental stairway is spectacular, made of 142 steps covered in hand-painted tiles. Lunch in a farmhouse and departure to Agrigento, the temples’ city founded in 580 B.C. as Akragas. The tour of the splendid Valley of Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, starts with the Temple of Hera (Juno) built at the very top of the hill. Magnificent views of the landscape, coastline and the Mediterranean Sea. Then walk for about one mile downhill and stop along the main path to admire the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Herakles, the Temple of Zeus and the Sanctuary of Chthonian Deities (Temple of Castor and Pollux).
  • Modica/Ragusa Ibla

    Half day: Saturday 14h30-19h30
    Afternoon dedicated to the discovery of the Sicilian Baroque. Visit of Modica, town with very old origins and fascinating historical past. Rich of monuments and churches such as that of San Giorgio, characterized by a stairway of 250 steps which emphasizes the scenic effects of its facade. the trip continues to Ragusa Ibla, city of ancient origins that has preserved its medieval style, its palaces and churches make a real baroque jewel.
  • Malta

    Full day: Thursday 09h00-20h30 (from june)
    Arrival in Malta by hydrofoil at around 10:30 am. Guided tour of the old capital Mdina. Afternoon visit of St. Julians and Sliema among the most modern cities of Malta. Arrival in Valletta where you will visit the Upper Barrakka gardens that allow a suggestive view of the port with the fortress of S.Angelo and the other nearby cities. At 7.00 pm departure from Malta to Pozzallo. Return to the hotel for dinner.
  • Piazza Armerina/Caltagirone

    Visit of the Villa Romana del Casale , whose construction dates back to the III-IV century after Christ. Famous for its 3500 m2 of mosaics. The scene of the "maidens in bikinis" is extraordinary, showing a shocking modernity. Lunch in a restaurant. Continuation to Caltagirone , city of majolica for more than 4000 years that still retains its ancient traditions. The monumental staircase of 142 steps covered with hand-painted majolica is spectacular.
